Lucky Bamboo as a House Plant

Believe it or not but some people actually think that Lucky Bamboo is an outside plant. I sometimes hear the phrase "It grows outside naturally, why would I grow it inside?". I always respond saying the same thing, Lucky Bamboo can grow outside yes for sure. But not in California! LB grows under the canopy of the African rain forests, how in the heck do you think it is going to grow in 95 degree weather! And depending on where you live, as low as 27 degrees! Its not possible, so for everyone out there complaining that there plants are dieing, well just know that LB'S are grown to be house plants not outside plants. And yes they did not originate in Asia, that is a common misconception because so many people see these plants in Chinese shops. Just like I mentioned above, it grows naturally in the African rain forests.
